Professor Colin Barrow
Deakin University’s Chair of Biotechnology and Director of the Centre for Chemistry and Biotechnology, specialising in natural products, food biotechnology and omega-3 innovation. With a PhD, an MBA, and over 130 publications, he brings both scientific authority and commercial R&D experience. His group leads internationally collaborative research in omega-3 biotechnology and amyloid-based nanomaterials.
Dr Reshan Jayawardena
A food scientist and Senior Research Scientist at Waitaki Biosciences, where he leads innovation in ingredient extraction, drying stability, and bioactivity preservation. His PhD and extensive research background in proteins, co-products, and novel processing technologies inform a highly practical, applied approach. He plays a key role in translating research into premium, commercially viable nutritional ingredients.
Mariano Lezana
Mariano Lezana is a veterinarian from Argentina who graduated from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) in 2017. With experience in animal nutrition across both small and large animal sectors, he currently works in Veterinary Technical Services at Cenvet. In his role, he provides technical guidance and veterinary support to customers, contributing practical field insights and scientific expertise to support veterinary professionals and help translate scientific knowledge into practical solutions for veterinary clinics and animal health professionals.
